Restaurant Andre, Singapore

We have finally arrived in Singapore, birthplace of my fabulous husband! I have to say this city really comes alive at night and we definitely started it off with a bang. We had one of the most interesting dinner services that I have ever had in my life. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed the 8 plus course meal a lot more than Jason, but he was a good sport. Restaurant Andre is a food lovers dream. The whole concept is one of creativity and design. The chef, Andre, creates a new menu every night and each course is served like scenes from a movie with a theme and story behind the dish. It was like art! The plating was absolutely gorgeous and deliciously paired with various French wines. We ate from scenes representing tranquility and texture, salt and harmony. It is hard to pick a favorite from all of the fabulous choices, but I would have to say the foie gros mouse topped with truffles and truffle oil was like nothing I have ever tasted before. Oh my gosh, it was to die for! We even finally took a picture cutting a cake, since we passed on that photo op at our wedding. The pictures can do all of the explaining for this entry...
